Neema Lakin Dainow  Bio

Neema is an award-winning artist whose work is in corporate and personal collections. Her art is an invitation to a vivid visual conversation.

Using paint, acrylic inks, and dyed papers stamped with her own designs and combined with textured gels and mediums, she creates colourful layered compositions on mylar, wooden panels, plexiglass and aluminum as well as watercolour paper and canvas. Her work vividly expresses her inspiration from photography, printmaking, film animation, ceramics and fabric design as well as painters such as Joan Mitchell and Nicholas de Stael and printmakers such as Romare Bearden.

As an art educator, Neema has presented workshops on learning through the arts and creativity at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto.

Neema is a member of the Toronto Watercolour Society and The Canadian Society of Children’s Artists and Performers. She is an associate member of the Society of Canadian Artists.
